Calloy has developed a new, versatile DLTUP550 Universal Carbide End Mill to achieve the highest feed and metal removal rates in advanced roughening applications.
 
Featuring an advanced AlTiN coating and a stable conical core design, the DLTUP550 runs high radial contacts, reducing the number of roughing steps required and helping to reduce the overall part cycle time.
 
In addition, the DLTUP550 can perform rough side milling operations using the entire 2.5*dc cutting length. Applications Chip dispensers, which produce short chips, prevent clogging of the machine tool system for unattended operation. Compared with other tools, DLTUP550 has a more positive frontal tooth geometry, which can effectively handle the axial operation. The added chip space on its forehead also makes the tool ideal for helical interpolation.
 
The DLTUP550 can be used with 2.5xD cut length, allowing the user to select straight shank diameters from 4 mm to 20 mm or weld diameters from 6 mm to 20 mm.
